This was bought for me even before I started looking for a review online. This is probably the reason why I started on this blog because there were people who were looking for a review on this - and like me, couldn't find any. I only have been recently using this so I may not give a full-on review, just something about the product to give you an idea.
There are 3 items for this set as shown above:
1. Peel off Mask (black)
2. Daily pore cleanser (pearly-color)
3. Moisturizing essence gel (clear gel)
Daily pore cleanser:
This cleanser is more on the "exfoliating" side because of the of scrub-like texture. I won't recommend this on people who have sensitive skin as it might irritate your skin. I usually use this everyday - morning and evening - but at times, when my skin is undergoing sensitive days, I try to lessen my usage on this. In any case, you can always use a mild cleanser like Cetaphil for daily use and use this as an exfoliating scrub - using it twice a week. It really depends on you, just monitor your skin and decide how often to use it.
Amount to use: a little squirt is good enough, it lathers well so as long as it covers up your face then that's good.
When to use: I use this everyday - morning and evening. Others can use this twice a week or every other day.
Skin type: it's good on oily face - clears up oil but doesn't leave your skin tight or dried up.
Peel off mask:
I use this twice a week (or once if I forgot to use it ^^;). It works like a charcoal mask, so if you have tried that before you wouldn't be surprised with the "black" color of the product. I was hesitant to use it at first because a black thing on my face is not something very appealing to me. haha still, I tried it out. The consistency of this mask is a bit runny but at times almost crosses over to gel-like form. What I do is shake the tube container a bit so that it would mix a little and have that "spreadable" consistency. When using this mask, make sure your face is dry and clean.
Amount to use: 1 squirt for each: left cheek, right cheek, forehead to nose bridge, chin. Just blend it around your face. Try not to leave a thin sheet of it, try to layer it out evenly so that it won't give you a hard time when peeling it off.
When to use: twice a week
What you should know: when this mask dries up - it's tight on the face. You'll know it's ready to be peeled off when it's dry and you can't even smile without the mask breaking. I usually have it on for 10 min. Peeling this off is quite painful (if you have tried waxing - it's something like that).
After usage: this can be quite hard to remove and sometimes leaves a few residue. What I do is get a wet cotton ball and clean off the excess "black things" on my face xD. I'm not really sure if this is recommended because after peeling your pores might be open..so yeah, it's your choice if you want to do this or not.
Moisturizing Essence Gel:
I use this like an acne topical gel. Mildly dries-up acne and is good to use during mornings/evenings. Depending on the extent of your acne.
Amount to use: I use this little by little just so I could save it - I don't use this all over my face, just on the parts with acne
When to use: at night. You can also put it on on morning if you wish. I just think that medicines work best during the night.

Did it help with my acne?: I can't say for now, why? I have a hormonal imbalance and this causes me to think twice if the product is working or not. I do still get breakouts once in a while so I don't think this is a powerful enough product to state that you will see improvements in only a short while (as advertise in tv). The Essence gel somewhat works, but that is if you're ok with slow healing.(*takes about 5 days to a week) It hasn't done much for my acne scar.
Repurchase?: Undecided - daily cleanser. I might buy the Peel off mask again or the essence gel. Keep you posted.

ReplyDeleteHey there, sad to hear you're having the same difficulties with battling acne and hormonal imbalance.
DeleteFor the hormonal imbalance, I've been to different doctors and had different medicines, but what really help fix it is a chinese herb drink that was prescribed to me. There was different types of herbs like tree bark, some flower, or branches - I don't really know. Haha Chinese stuff, so I really can't say much about this because they usually prescribe diff. ingredients depending on the person's condition.
As for the acne, I'm using Garnier's Pure Active right now, along with this. I did saw some improvements with the breakouts so I'll try to continue using it and make a full review after trying it for at least a month or 2 since I've only been using it for 2 weeks or so.
Most dermatologists would say to refrain eating junk foods, fried stuff, chocolates, peanuts, etc. But there are others who also say that the food you eat doesn't really matter. What I do is eat them in moderation. Besides, I cannot not eat chocolate. ^^; I also wash my face with cold water or use an ice cube when I feel an acne starting to form or my face feels itchy from the heat. It helps a bit. Refrain from being under the sun as well. And if you have oily face like mine, try to blot the oil once in a while so that it won't clog your pores.

DeleteI've been using this for 3 days pa lang po, Its quite effective since the redness on the area with acne started to reduce and wla na po naglalabasan na new pimples, but still I cant say pa for good kasi nga 3 days pa lang and I have a hormonal Imbalance. sometimes I thought the pimples would never pop-up again then it will. I hope this product would help me

Hi! Sorry for the delay. Glad to know na so far gumagana siya sayo =] It works naman as a good facial scrub/cleaner for the face although I can't say much with the acne scars. Un din kasi ung problem ko. I didn't see too much improvement with them. Siguro kasi most of my scars are deep and old na. It would probably work with the new scars and if hindi sila ganun ka lalim.
DeleteI'm using Kanebo whitening moisturizer - may parang toner siya then ung gel type moisturizer. Nakaka lighten siya ng face considering na maputi na ko ^^;
Other than that if you want to try, squeeze ka ng fresh lemon then use cotton ball/pad. Dip and apply mo sa face mo. It lightens scars daw from what I read. Try not to put the lemon directly on your face especially kung sensitive ung face mo - medyo harsh daw kasi un. I tried ice na rin. It worked on a few of my scars before, honestly I can't remember why I stopped doing that ^^;
I know the feeling na gusto mo nalang sila mawala - it takes time talaga tapos ang hirap pang mag hanap ng product that would work long term. Hopefully acbegone will work for you =]

Hello po, may kaibigan po akong gumagamit ng acbegone maganda naman daw yung resulta, gusto ko rin sanang gumamit kaso lang po natatakot ako na baka lalo lang lumalala pag nagtry ako kasi iba-iba naman po ang skin natin. I want to ask lang po kung gagamit po ako ng acbegone ano po ang mga bawal at ilang buwan ninyo po ginamit Ito bago ninyo nakita yung resulta?
ReplyDeleteHi, nice to know na gumana siya sa friend mo. So far kasi ung mga nag she-share ng experiences nila with this, gumagana naman daw. As for me mga 4-6 months ko ata siya ginamit nabawasan naman ung pimples, hindi maiiwasan ung paminsang break out pero wala ako masyadong nakita when it came to the scars. Siguro kasi hindi ko tuloy tuloy ginamit ung mask.
DeleteKung oily ung face mo, go, try mo siya. Kasi feeling ko medyo drying siya para sa mga may dry skin, lalo na ung mask. Ok din ung acne gel, kasi pinapatuyo niya ung mga pimples. Depende nalang kung minor ung pimples mo or not.
Binili lang din kasi to para sakin kaya hindi ako mismo nakapagtanong nun sa sales person. Post ko ung brochure above para makita mo ung mga ingredients(kung may allergy ka/may specific na ing. na gumagana sayo) and kung ilan or kailan mo sila gagamitin.
I can't encourage or discourage you to buy it kasi depende talaga sa skin ng tao un. Ung review ko kasi talagang based lang sa experience ko. Parang siguro if you're willing to take the risk nalang. Or kung nakita mo na ok talaga ung result sa friend mo, why not diba? haha lahat tayo ayaw ng pimple xD

Ate. Hi! Any suggestions po or products na nkakawala ng pimples. Im only 16 and super dami po talaga ng pimples ko ngayon. Nakakastress at nakakawalan ng self confidence po. I used Erase pimple lotion at mas lumala lng po condition ko. Nasunod po yung mukha ko. Ano po yung mga products na pwede kong gamitin para maalis pimples at para po sa mga pimple marks at ice pick marks? Pls help me po! Thanks!

I actually just bought their exfoliate soap pero I find it harsh kasi ung beads niya sa soap matitigas and hindi siya na di-dissolve agad katulad ng mga ibang facial scrubs. Last try ko pinabula ko nalang siya - hindi ko ginamit directly sa face ko.
DeleteI find Ponds to work on teens. Un kasi ung madalas namin ginagamit before. Pwede mo i-try ung original facial wash nila pag nasa normal skin type ka. Pag medyo oily pwede mo try ung Clear solution nila. Kung gusto mo na mild and soap free, ok din ung Celeteque.
As for product treatment, if you can afford and if you're willing to try it..check my post here. http://beatingofaheart.blogspot.com/2013/01/stiefel-and-galderma.html recommend ko ung Differin kasi siya ung hindi masyadong harsh. Check mo rin ung percent niya - ung gamit ko before 0.1%.
Sa pimple marks, ung mga nababasa ko from others, whitening soaps help somehow. Mga Kojic soap, papaya soap. You can try those.
Ang pwede ko lang sabihin is be patient kasi matagal talaga ang paglalaban sa acne, lalo na pag ayaw ka nilang tantanan. ^^; Pahirapan din talaga sa pag hanap ng product that would really work on you.
Para dun sa red face na na e-experience mo ngaun, iwasan mo muna mag paaraw and sobrang pawis para medyo magsubside ung redness. Use mild cleanser muna wag ung mga scrubs kasi baka lalong ma-irritate ung skin mo.

DeleteGood Day. You can call me Vince. Im using Acbegone for about 1 month and 2 weeks na. As of now naman, effective yung product kahit papaano kase nawawala yung mga pimples ko. Medyo mahirap lang matanggal talaga ang mga scars since medyo old na sila (3 years na siguro sila sa mukha ko). And because of my scars, di na ko nagkaroon pa ng girlfriend. Ang hirap ng ganitong sitwasyon. Yung tipong sana paggising mo sa umaga wala na lahat ng pimples mo at acne scars sa yong mukha at isang malaking bangungot lang ang lahat. Lalo na sa panahon ngayon na uso ang selfie hehe lols. Anyway, I can see slightly good results naman sa mga scars ko ngayon. You will find its working kapag may exfoliation na nagaganap sa face mo most especially sa part ng scars. It depends din siguro kung anong klaseng scar meron ka (there are four kinds of acne scars namely ice pick, boxcar, rolling and hypertrophic. Search nyo sa google lol). So far, so good naman. Yung acbegone moisturizing gel lang kase ang ginagamit ko dahil di naman kaya ng budget hehe. I think kailangan talaga ng matagalang paggamit ng product. Tungkol naman dun sa ad nila sa tv, its true naman na mawawala talaga ang pimples at acne mo in just about 3 days only pero syempre may maiiwan pa din na spot which will fade after a few days or more. Dont be like a judgemental guys, TIWALA LANG. In my case, inaapply ko yung gel all over my face to make my skin tone fairer at 3 to 4 times ko sya inaapply every day. Im using moisturizing soap din para hindi mangati ang mukha ko. I WILL MAKE MY OWN BLOG AFTER 3 MONTHS TO SHOW THE RESULTS ON MY FACE USING THIS PRODUCT SO STAY TUNE HEHEHE LOL. O kaya naman magcocomment na lang ulit ako dito.

I'm happy to know na gumagana sayo ung acbegone, marami rin actually nag sasabi na gumagana sakanila un. Depende na talaga sa case ng tao un ^^ sakin kasi slow healing talaga. I'm not saying naman na hindi siya nakakatanggal ng pimple ng mabilisan kasi it does dry the small acnes na lumalabas sakin. Dun lang talaga sa malaki and cystic acne patagalan. Siguro rin kasi dahil sa paglagay ko nung gel, sa gabi ko lang kasi nilalagay then minsan pag morning.

Yup! Nagaapply ako sa face ko ng maraming beses pero dapat clean ang skin bago mag apply. 3 shifts kase work ko kaya 3 times din ako naliligo sa isang araw. Napansin ko din na mas mabilis yung epekto sakin dahil madalas ako malagay ng gel.

Everytime po kasi na nagkakaroon ako ng pimple/acne, i get some spots after mag subside nung pimple/acne. And parang napapansin ko na ang tagal nawawala nung spots sa face ko. And now, parang ang dami na nila from my chin across up to the low part below my ears. like pa beard style. :))

DeleteRegarding sa pigmentation, hindi ako makabigay ng exact answer kasi hindi ko sure kung gumagana to dun. This helps with acne pero ung pigmentation kasi marami ring causes from what I read. Use sunscreen as much as possible when you go out especially if you'll be staying long under the sun. Nakaka-help din daw AHA products like glycerin. Then vit. c or brightening ingredients. Wag mo rin i-over wash ung face mo, kasi minsan daw nagkakaron ng pigmentation pag na i-irritate ung skin.
Pero sabi nila it's best to treat one problem at a time daw, clear acne first, maintain, then treat pigmentation/scars. Ganun din sabi sakin nung nag pa derma ako dati. Pero minsan kasi pag ang tagl tagal tapos wala kang nakikitang results nakakainis lang ^^;
I suggest you try ung mga cleansers with glycerin and brightening condition. Kung nasa dry skin type ka, go for lotion/non-foaming type. If your oily, cream/gel cleansers na nag foa-foam.
The good news with pigmentation, it does fade. Ung iba mabilisan lang, ung iba matagal..pero hindi siya permanent. So I think that's a good thing to look forward to.
Sorry kung hindi masyado nakatulong, I tried reading around and eto ung basic gist na nakuha ko. Hopefully when I do find a good product that caters to this, i-share ko dito.

Deletei bought the WII acbegone product na rin po. and i have been using this for about half a week. i dont know kung nag iimprove or nag kakaroon ng pagbabago sa skin ko from the time na hindi ko pa ginagamit yung product. kasi half a week palang naman ko sia nagagamit. but i think it does help. parang natutuyo nga yung pimples ko and medyo nag susubside sia ng maayos. and i hope magtuloy tuloy yung effect nung product. :-)
i just want to commend about the use of the mask. medyo mahirap palang gamitin. hahahaha. nung 1st time ko eh ang nipis nung mask ko pala. pag peel ko nasisira agad and hindi na natatanggal yung iba kasi sobrang nipis. ano po ba ang teknik on using the mask? :))

DeleteRegarding sa mask, ang ginagawa ko makapal konti, as in wala kang makikitang layer of skin. Then pag medyo naramdaman mo na nag tight na ung feeling and tuyo na ung mask then you can remove it na. Haha nahirapan din ako nung una pero eto ung ginawa ko, kahit papano mas ok siya. Usually ni stre-stretch ko ung facial muscles para medyo maging loose sa side then I'll peel from there. Hindi maiwasan na mapunit e, hindi pa nangyari sakin na isang buong mask ung mahahatak. I'm sure you'll get the hang of it pag nasanay ka na =]
Hello po ate desi, hmmm so far so good naman po i think itong product na ito. I can see improvements naman po concerning sa pimples. NAtutuyo ho talaga and nawawala. In some days na nagkakaroon, eh okay lang dahil hindi sia ganun kadami kung tumubo and hindi siya ganun kalala.
DeleteAnyway, regarding naman po sa pigmentation (open pores?) from the sides of my cheeks eh parang minimal lang po ang results na nakikita ko. i dont know if this is because i am only using acbegone for more or less 1 week? Pero i will still use ethis product because for me magandang cleanser sia.
On the otherhand, in my case of the pigmentation (or the open pores?) i dont know really eh kung ano sia, but parang bakas na nagkapimples ka? they are not really scars na malalalim from acne eh. hahahhaa ambot. maybe i can send you some pics? hmmm.
anyway, i just want to ask po about the use of lemon? i think this would help me about this pigmentation chuchu. hahahaha. thanks!

DeleteAbout the use of lemon, I usually just squeeze out its juice and dip a cotton ball then apply to my face like a toner. It might sting for a bit lalo na pag may inflamed pimple ka, pero mawawala din siya agad agad.
It's better to try this when you'll be staying at home for the day, para alam mo kung ano ung effect niya sau especially on the first trial. Basta check mo lang kung ok siya sau, kung ok tuloy mo lang. If not, stop it. Kung feeling mo masyadong nag dra-dry ung skin mo pwedeng every other day.

Hello. I'm 14 years old po. Matagal ko na po kasing nakikita tong acbegone sa tv. Tanong lang po, pwede po ba ito sakin? Masyado po ba kong bata para sa product na to? Kasi po 1st year ako nung nagstart maglabasan ung mga pimples ko then lumala na po siya ng lumala.

Delete14, Yan kasi ung mga age kung kailan usually nag sta-start maglabasan ang pimples. Feeling ko medyo harsh to for 14 yrs. old na skin, pero hindi ko rin masasabi. Depende kung humiyang siya sayo. Ung manga kasama ko dati pond's ung ginagamit nila or Cetaphil (medyo mild to masyado for me) and gumagana un sakanila. If you want, try mo muna ung line ng Pond's for acne kasi feeling ko it suits best for teens.
Honestly, mas may nakita akong improvements with http://beatingofaheart.blogspot.com/2013/08/review-garnier-pure-active-facial-scrub.html - if you want to try that too kung hindi gumana ung pond's, go lang. In my case kasi, if there's a cheaper alternative that works, game ako dun. Medyo mahal din kasi tong acbegone.
Pero kung may chance ka makadaan sa isang booth ng EZ shop, try asking if you can buy the small tube. Meron kasi ako nun kasama nung binili sakin ung malaki. Hindi ko sure kung binebenta nila un separately or kasama un sa set. Wag mo muna kunin ung mask kasi I don't think you need the mask at this stage. And sabay mo narin itanong sakanila kung ok siya sa age mo, most probably may idea sila. =]
Let us know kung alin ung napili mong gamitin and if it worked for you para pag may makabasa neto with the same age as you, I'm sure makakatulong din un. =]

DeleteYup, isa talaga sa mga risk ung pag gastos ng mahal. kasi talaga hanap lang natin ung makabawas ng pimple.
Kung ung whole set ung bibilin mo, hindi mo na kailangan gamitin ung Vaseline. Mas ok din un para makita mo kung talagang gumagana sayo ung AcBeGone. Tapos pag naubos ung AcBeGone na facial scrub (kasi sa case ko, un ung unang naubos sakin), kung ok naman ung effect sayo ng Vaseline, pwede mo try un. Then ung mask and acne gel nalang kailangan mo bilin, bawas gastos din if ever kung mas mura naman ung Vaseline and gumagana siya ng maganda sayo.
Trial and error lang talaga ^^

DeleteHi, choice niyo talaga kung balak niyo i-try o hindi e. Kung konti lang naman ung pimple and ung main issue mo is ung scar, pwede mo muna siguro i-try ung mask. Un kasi ung alam ko na pwede mag lighten sa scar. ung mask and gel kasi more on pimple fighting.

DeleteHi, yah nagamit ko na siya. Ung mask nalang ung hindi pa ubos. Ung facial scrub, ok naman, nakakaaiwas pimple naman siya. Pero depende parin un especially kung ano ung cause ng pimple. Sakin kasi hormonal madalas ung cause kaya wala akong solution pag dumadating ung mga araw na un. Nakaka dry ng active pimple ung gel so gumana naman sya, slow healing pag sa cystic and papule pimple (http://www.thelovevitamin.com/2401/type-of-acne/#.Us7ax1sW0gQ), pero pag ung maliit lang ok naman.

ReplyDeleteThanks sa pag share! As for me naman, I've tried diff. tea tree products, for some reason hindi siya nagiging kaibigan ng skin ko. Although, marami gumagana sakanila to. I'm also using eskinol for toner. So far na-try ko na ung eskinol w/ calamansi and acne control.

ReplyDeleteHi Bianca, I don't think kaya siya and wala pa kong na ta-try na nakakapag heal ng pit scars via topical treatment. More on laser na ung ino-offer ng mga dermas for that. And since more on technology siya, mahal din. Hindi lang kasi isang session un.

DeleteI posted this review based on few days of usage. I'm sorry it did not work on you, as I'm sure may mga iba rin na gumamit na hindi gumana sakanila. Long term, naubos ko naman ung gel and facial wash pero hindi ko na ginagamit ung mask. I didn't buy another set, kasi feeling ko pricey siya as compared to others that I tried na almost or better ang effect.
Ads are ads, they're there to sell their products. I'm not defending them or anything, I say this for almost all advertisements. It depends on the consumer whether or not they will choose to try the product or not. Thank you for letting us know though, about your experience and feedbacks from the others that you've interviewed. At least, mag do-doble isip ang mga tao kung balak nila to gamitin.
Hi! Im one of those who suffers a lot with having acne and pimples. There was a moment that i felt the depressiom with my problem. I tried a lot of products, treatments, soaps, creams, solutions and etc over the counter. But nothing worked. I earned a lot of money for my face with having no doubt just to get rid of this acne problems. I searched the internet for any product that may help me but they are too expensive. Thats the time i tried to use some home remedies like honey, aloe vera, baking soda, toothpaste and the like. But again, i didnt see any improvements. Okay. Tagalog na to. Hahaha. Sumuko na ako nun. Tinanggap ko nlang ang kapalaran ko ay ganto na. Its my fault naman kaya nagkaroon ako ng scars sa mukha. Pero one day, habang napagtripan kong kumain ng 'kamias' sa likod ng bahay namin, naisip ko na iapply yung katas ng kamias sa mukha ko. Since kamias has a lot of vit.C naisip ko na baka makatulong ito. After 3 days na paggamit ko, nakita ko na nageexfoliate ang mukha ko lalo na dun sa part ng scars talaga. After 1 week, di na ako tinubuan ng tigyawat. Kung meron man, mabilis din nawawala. Sobrang saya ko kase kahit yung pamumula ng mukha ko o yung pigmentation ay nawawala na. Hahaha. I cant believe it! Pakiramdam ko nga mas kuminis mukha ko ngayon kesa dati. Kase nageexfoliate mukha ko without leaving my skin sensitive. Two weeks pa lang ako gumagamit ngayon and i love the results. Its better than before. Natural pa. Di ko na kelangan gumastos ng pera. Pinost ko to kase minsan na din ako gumamit ng acbegone. Wag na kayo bumili sayang lang pera nyo. Guys you have to try this. Magtiis lang kayo kase medyo mahapdi talaga sya knowing that it really works. Try nyo lang. Update ako dito for more improvements after 1 week ko na paggamit. Bye.

ReplyDeleteHi, sa experience ko dati nabawasan naman pag ung mga malilit lang na pimple. Hindi masyadong effective pag sa malalaki na. Pero kung konti lang talaga pimple mo and maliit lang sila - suggest ko wag mo lang silang galawin tapos hayaan mo lang sila mag pop and heal on its own.
DeletePero kung gusto mo talaga gumamit..try mo rin check ung Benzac 5% - un ung ginagamit ko ngaun na bigay ng derma. Gamit ko siya sa whole face pero kung konti or isa isa lang pimples mo baka pwede dun lang sa area na un. Pag gagamitin mo to, kailangan manipis lang ung papahid mo ah. As in ung pea-size pang buong pisngi na un. Meron siya sa Mercury/Watsons.

ReplyDeleteAcne scars din ung problem ko, pero at the moment wala akong ginagamit for scars kasi kailangan ko muna pagalingin ung active acne ko.
Pwede ko lang ma-share sayo ung mga natural treatments na natry ko na gamitin dati. Lemon juice or ice. Pag lemon juice, usually nag sla-slice lang ako ng manipis (ung parang sa mgae lemonade juice, ganun kanipis. Kailangan mag-tipid. mahal si lemon xD) pag na slice mo na, squeeze mo ung juice niya sa platito tas dagdagan mo ng konting malinis na tubig - mga 1:1 or 1:2 ung ratio. depende sa skin type mo(nakakatuyo kasi to). Tas gamit ka lang ng cotton ball then pahid mo na sa face mo. Sa gabi ko to ginagawa, parang toner ko siya. Pero pag napansin mo na nag dra-dry ung skin mo, bawasan mo ung pag gamit. Another option is ung ice. madalas ginagamit ko siya pag nangangati ung mukha ko - pero napansin ko kasi dati nabawasan ng konti ung light scars ko.
Depende parin to sa type ng scars. Pero ang mapapansin mo talaga sobrang bagal ng healing process. Tyaga lang talaga. Try lang kung ano ung hihiyang sayo.
Another natural treatment is baking soda + water or apple cider vinegar (unfiltered) - paste-like. matapang to so max 2 times a week lang. And hindi ko siya iniiwan overnight. Mga upto 10 min. or hangang matuyo mabuti tapos babanlawan ko rin.

ReplyDeleteHi, pag sa small pimples kaya niya i-dry ung pimple. kung un lang ung worry mo, pwede na kahit ung blemish treatment. Depende pa rin sa pag ka hiyang sa balat mo. Kasi katulad sa iba, gumagana siya. Sakin kasi, gumana sandali pero pagkatapos ng mga ilang buwan, hindi niya siya gumagana sakin.
