There's this new Korean Cosmetic store in our local mall named, Too Cool For School. And just as unique as their name is, so is their store design concept. At first glance you wouldn't think of it as a cosmetic store rather an art or school science equipment store.

I haven't bought any of their product on my own yet, and was happy to receive this as a gift from a friend. =]

Since it's Christmas season, I was looking around for some gifts for friends. I have this group of friends that are quite kikay so I went to one of my favorite beauty store. Can you guess? Ha it's quite given, Beauty Bar! ^^

I know I'm not one to buy too expensive beauty products but sometimes there are good affordable finds in Beauty Bar and since I'm almost out of my Rice Powder, that's another excuse for me to check their store.

Here's my haul, Palladio Rice Powder, Yadah Anti Trouble Spot, and these cute little bottles of nail polish. The Burt's Bees Hand Salve was a free gift given from my purchase. So, yay! xD


I've been using Palladio Rice Powder for a few years now and I haven't found any substitute at the moment. But since it works for me and the price is good, no pressure.

Next thing I bought was the Yadah Anti Trouble Spot. I was more familiar with their cosmetic line that this was a nice surprise. I was having a breakout and was looking for a nice acne treatment and was happy to find this. It was their last stock so I thought, why not? I'm currently using it right now and will post a review on it soon.

Then of course, these nail polish cuties. Sadly they didn't have any more available colors but good thing was that I was able to choose which color would be better on my friends =]

And last but not the least, Burt's Bees Hand Salve - I'm thinking of giving this as one of my soon-to-happen-hopefully giveaway on January for my blog's first year anniversary. Hopefully I can get few more products added and a number of people to join the raffle. Looking forward to it! ^^

The first thing you would want to do is to take the oDesk Readiness Test


This will let your clients know that you have a bit of knowledge when working on oDesk. There's a link at the test where it will take you to a guide/review page that could help you with the test.

There are many available tests that you can take to let the people who wants to hire you know at what level you are on the specific subject. These tests are optional but some clients requires these from their contractors.

Once you're done with the test, go back to your home page and look for the "Download Time Tracker" - you will need this when you apply for an hourly job.

Inglot first store branch opened at Glorietta 5 last Nov. 30, 2013. I was able to go to their Sneak Peek Launch on Nov. 28 when a friend invited me to join her. The great thing about the sneak peek is that we were able to get 10% discount. It can be availed by being the first 100 people to register at their site. The box type things on the right side is their container. They have magnetic spaces for each swatch squares which makes them easier to switch around with any color. It's re-usable as well which is an added plus!

I've bought a few iWhite products last month and here's one of their skin care product that I liked. I have oily and acne-prone skin so having whiteheads and blackheads is no question. Another product that I liked which help with my skin problems is Acbegone Mask. But I'll be telling you guys about the iWhite Nose Pack for now.

I know, I know. I still have a whole list of October buys that I'm not done with reviewing as of yet. Haha these just adds to my list.

This post has long been overdue. Why? I still can't think of a plan on my take with this because I want to try to explain as much of the things I know as possible. Thinking that I might not be able to post this ever if I don't start now, might as well and just hope for the best. ^^ Please be patient with this post, because like I said, I have no idea what this post will look like - if I should explain it all in one sitting or have different parts. I'll just type as I go and hopefully you'll be able to understand - messy thinker here. =P

I bought this a month ago after my skin got immune to Garnier Pure Active Scrub. The reason why I bought this was because of the "lemon essence" and the perks that come with the said ingredient. But other than that, my acne wasn't acting up on me during the time so I thought of looking for a facial wash that could help with the lightening of my acne marks.

Been busy these couple of weeks - my excuse for not being able to post anything at all. In compensation, I'm posting a small picture of what I bought this morning when I was looking for a facial wash.

See those big pores, small bumps, and fine lines running around your face? Don't you just wish to magically make them smaller and if possible, disappear all together? Benefit Porefessional might just be what you need!

Let's be real, there are those who are awesomely favored with great DNA that they don't have any skin problems at all. As in nada, zero, ZILCH. Bitter much? Haha. And then there are the "normal" ones (us) who have these physical flaws that we just hope and wish to minimize a little. If you're with me with the hoping, read on. =]

So it was raining all day today, weather was gloomy and I just can't seem to do anything remotely productive. While I was cleaning up some stuff, I found some make-up that was given to me as a gift and had rarely used it as I really don't use make-up whenever I leave home. A good pat of powder and a dash of lip balm if I need it. But what the heck, I was bored and needed to do something so..xD

Other than the powder and tinted lip balm, I used eye shadow and blush, also filled in my eyebrow. But eyebrows are challenging for me since I always have this feeling of removing too much that I might end up having two straight lines for eyebrows. o\_/o

Obviously there's not much difference with my bare face and the one with make up, still a newbie when it comes to this. xD

I always thought and still think that it's better to use little makeup and just be comfortable with your own skin. I know it can be hard at times, especially to us who are having a long battle with acne and other skin problems. I also wish that make-up could help clear our face forever, but that's asking too much of a miracle to happen xD. Of course there's nothing wrong with wearing makeup to help with your confidence, just remember not to hide behind it. Because in the end of the day, the people who accept you as you are now doesn't care about make-ups but the person wearing it - you.

Don't go all literal on this though to the point of not caring what you look like. Just be presentable enough ^^

Sorry if this post is a bit of a clutter. It's where my brain is at right now. xD

Who doesn't like soft, pink lips? I know I do. Unfortunately, I have dry lips and because I drink coffee and tea almost everyday,  it's possible that my lips is in the "getting a bit darker" phase. We know that to keep our lips soft and hydrated, we need to drink a lot of water. But lip balms are there to help keep the dryness at bay and is easy to carry around in case there's no water available.

I've tried some good lip balms before, like Skin Food Apricot, Human Nature Peppermint, and Carmex. All of them worked well. But because I wanted to look for a cheaper alternative (Human Nature is quite affordable compared to the other two) and also try a different lip balm, I tried Maybelline's Baby Lips Lip Balm. Maybelline was one of the early brands I loved before so there was no hesitation on my part when I decided to try this out.

I'm quite fond of green tea, bias even at times. So it was not a surprise when I saw this at the grocery store and I initially wanted to buy it. But because the price was a bit expensive, I decided to postpone it thinking I'd find a cheaper one somewhere. I opted for the Green Tea Scrub - let's save that for later. (review link will be posted here once I'm done with it. =p)

I'm happy to share that this product worked for me, well the first few months (really not liking this immunity thing my skin is doing with products -_-). BUT. What's important is that it worked and I did get a second tube which is always a good thing despite my ever changing facial wash buys.

Been so long since my last update and this has been long overdue. As you might know from previous posts, I have acne-prone skin. I can say that I've experience most of the acne problem there is; as most have experienced them as well. But one that I'll be sharing with you is for inflamed, "pus-in-your-face" acne.

Last June, my parents went to Taiwan to visit my uncle and auntie who just got out of the hospital after a surgery. One of the things that you have to plan about when travelling is for a place to stay - this was no different. So, I was looking around for a hotel, even thinking of renting out a unit from the airbnb site, but the idea was still foreign to me so I thought it's better to stick to the hotel for now.

There's the agoda site and booking.com - although agoda may offer a better price for using their services, booking.com allows you to pay later through their "Book Now, Pay When You Stay" option, instead of paying online. Just know that booking at booking.com lets you cancel your booking without fee but you must do so before three days of the date you'll be arriving at the hotel.

The hotel that I booked for my parents was Green World Hotel Jian Pei Suites. There are 2 Green World hotels so be careful to check the location of each. This hotel was located at No.140, Sec. 1, Jianguo N. Rd, Zhongshan District, 10489 Taipei. 

I was at the mall yesterday, walking around looking for something to do and I got to the floor where the salons were and read eyebrow threading in some of the posters posted on few salons. I was choosing between The Brow Specialist and Lay Bare.  It was my first time to try eyebrow threading, since I've tried Lay Bare before and had become a repeat customer, I decided to go there. From what I read in the net, it says that it's a bit painful but because it pulls your hair from the roots, it takes longer for the hair to grow back compared to shaving or plucking.

I have been contemplating on whether I should post some of the past travels I had and decided that I'll try to start now. One of the reason is, I tend to forget the names of the place we've been to and I feel it's a shame. Although I don't have the means to travel all the time, I'm thankful for the times I was able to. Because travelling, as most know, is not "kind" to the pocket. ^^;

Anyway, I'm no expert at blogging, more so on travelling, so please excuse me if I forget name's of places and whatnot - or I lack good explanations on my experiences, I will try my best though. =]

Starting with my most recent travel, I went to Hong Kong with my family. It's been years since we last went travelling together, if I remember correctly, it's been 9 years. And as I said before, going to other country is quite expensive, much more when you're with family. So, yes, it is really a blessing that we were able to go there again.

Posting some songs that I hope could be a blessing to someone who needs reassurance the most.

I always feel that it's nice to help other people as much as we can. We'll never know if that little good deed that we had done can mean so much to other people.

Me and my friend were at the mall a while ago, and there was a woman with her grandmother trying to get onto the escalator. The grandmother had a staff on her left hand and was having a trouble trying to hold onto her granddaughter, resulting to her granddaughter getting on the escalator first and leaving her on the platform. I tried helping her and when we reached the bottom, she already had thanked me more than once.

It was just a good feeling being able to help someone, even just for something as simple as that. So why not try to do a simple good deed once in a while? Because in the end of the day, even if you feel like nothing's going right for you, one smile from a stranger or from someone you know can change your "bad" day to a "good" day. It may sound selfish, but when you don't think of the "rewards" while helping the person, I think that's good enough.

Ever wonder where to put away your old school books?

There was a book drive by Nuffnang and Ms. Joy Mendiola for the benefit of Nagkaisang Nayon Elementary School. As much as I wanted to donate some of my old school books, Taguig area is way too far from where I live so I have no way of getting there. Hopefully, there were alot of donations for the drive.  It's always a better option to donate the books to the kids rather than wait for another "Ondoy" or "Pedring" to come by and destroy them books. =p

From my previous post, you would know that a friend and I joined the Grand Bazaar at the Elements Tent, Centris. Sadly, compared to the other conventions/bazaars I've been to, this was so far not the best advertised one.

It's quite disappointing really, since the organizers didn't do well with keeping stuff in order. For example, during the first day when leaving the venue, I had to bring home some of the items I'm selling since it's hard to leave it there for the night.

So, I know the first month of the year is almost up, but I have this thing where I usually get my hair done before the start of the new year or just on the Jan. of that year. This year, instead of having the usual "cutting of year long no-cut-hair" I decided to have my hair digi permed. It's one of the thing that I've been thinking of doing for a long while, but I kept on postponing it. One reason is I haven't had any treatment done on my hair before - excluding cellophane which was done 5 or 6 years ago - I kind of didn't like the idea of chemicals in my hair. The other reason is that it's way to pricey for me.

Then last year around early December, I saw a deal at CashcashPinoy P999 for Digi Perm. I was skeptic at first because I've never tried those online deals before and you wouldn't know if the company your getting the deal of is a "good" company. Still, I took the risk, thinking that it's cheaper than it's normal price and if I didn't like the outcome I wouldn't be devastated for spending way too much money just to have it cut-off. So yeah, a very straight forward solution - albeit quite scary. This was more like a trial run as to whether I would be open to do it again. =]

Anyway, on with the actual experience =p

W-II AcBeGone

This was bought for me even before I started looking for a review online. This is probably the reason why I started on this blog because there were people who were looking for a review on this - and like me, couldn't find any. I only have been recently using this so I may not give a full-on review, just something about the product to give you an idea.

I'm not one to wear make-up all the time - one reason is my oily face. Make-up + oily face doesn't work well together. But when you're tired of looking haggard and shiny, face powder is always a useful beauty product you should always bring with you.

Like any other people, I've tried few face powders before I settled down to one. I'm going to list the face powders I've used before from present to the very first one I remember.

I'm a 22 year old whose been battling acne since I was in grade school. I've tried a lot of products, from over the counter drugs to those prescribed by the dermatologists and I have even tried herbal teas. I always wanted to find that "perfect" solution to my problem as I'm sure many are facing as well. And hopefully from my experiences with some of the products I'm going to list here, it could be of help to you.

What you should know:
My skin is on the oily side which means products listed here are more inclined for oily faces like mine. If you have been reading around about products for a certain skin type, you should know that creamy and products with fragrance and such is something you should not use when you have an oily face. Oil-free, and water-based is better.

*please note: Galderma and Stiefel products are usually prescribed by dermas, if possible please see a dermatologist first before using these because it may not be the right product for you.

First of all, please excuse my title for this post..as I wanted to explain a little bit of what might come of this blog, I wanted to use a different word other than "Introduction", and this is what came up. Although "Prologue" is usually used in stories, hopefully this blog is worthy enough to have an introduction such as that. Anyway, enough of titles, let's get to the content. =p

What I plan to post in this blog:
1. Product reviews: Mostly, people look for reviews about a certain product that they want to buy, checking if it's worth their time and money to try. I've been doing that for a while now but sadly some of the products I have bought/tried/want to try doesn't have any reviews online. So hopefully I could help others who have experience the same thing. I might not tell you right out if you should buy them or not because in the end, products can work differently on other people. What works for me might not work for other people. I'll just write based on my experience, just so you can have a little bit of idea about the product.

2.  Learnings, eye-openers, and all that "inside" thoughts - I have a personal blog where I mostly "rant" or share what I feel at that certain moment. I was thinking if I should use that for these but I thought it wouldn't be that nice as I would like this blog to be on the more "positive" note than that one. Either way, if I post something there that I think could work for this blog, I'll post it here.

3. Seminars, bazaars, crash course - I love to learn a lot of things - they may differ from one another but that just means I can reach more people that way. =]

These are my initial thoughts of what this blog might be about. Hopefully, I haven't bore you yet.
