REVIEW: Natural Rice Powder
11:55 AMAs a "sequel" to my previous post of face powders, (read) here's a review on the Natural Rice Powder.
Type: Loose powder
Color: Natural, Nude, Warm Beige
First off, packaging. It's a bit bulky compared to the pressed powder types that we've been used to. But from what I've read before, the top cap holds better than it's previous design - while retaining it's box shape.
There's an included puff inside, it's not as high quality as others might like, but it works fine. You can always clean it if you think it's necessary. A light soap and a few light squeezes will do just fine. Don't forget to rinse well! Just don't abuse the puff, my dearies. =3
Be careful when using this as it might tend to be messy. You can tap some on the cover and use the puff - be careful not to tap too much because you might end up with extra loose powder and just waste time trying to return it to the container. I don't normally do this because from experience, it's messier than what I do. So I just hold the puff with the container, flip and tap twice or more if needed. It's faster, cleaner, and lets you save up more powder because you'll only be using the amount that you need. In shorter explanation, you can control it better. =]
What I like:
- oil free
- natural
- non-comedogenic
- blends well
- light-weight
Skin Type: It's good on oily skin and because it's light weight, you wouldn't worry so much about the powdery feeling you get from other loose powder. When you feel like your face is getting oily again, remove oil by patting a facial tissue or oil-control film and re-apply.
It's also ok for dry/normal skin - but as this being an oil-absorbing powder - it works better for oily or combi skin. If you have dry/normal skin, you can try Maybelline Pure Mineral Foundation.
Price: Php325 - cheaper compared to other facial powder with similar features.
